PRSSA Chapter President

This position requires a highly motivated, well-organized student who will be responsible for the general leadership, direction and vision for the chapter. Responsibilities include working with chapter adviser to develop and implement strategic plan for chapter, supervising digital/social media and publication editors, coordinating membership drives, coordinating chapter fundraising efforts, coordinating chapter registration with university and national organizational entities, coordinating professional development programming such as speaker series and luncheons with PRSA sponsoring chapter, and coordinating social activities. Previous experience in PRSSA leadership position preferred. Membership in PRSSA is highly preferred.

Account Executive (3)

This position requires a highly motivated, well- organized student who will be responsible for leadership of a team of students in the service of the planning, implementing and evaluating of a public relations campaign. Responsibilities include close coordination with adviser on project details, motivation of team members to perform and present professional quality work, manage client relationships and delivery of professional quality reports and presentations at the conclusion of each project. Previous experience in COMM 3892 preferred. Membership in PRSSA is highly preferred.

Creative Team Lead

This position will supervise 3-4 students who are avid and intentional about working specifically in graphics and visual communication in public relations and advertising. It is a group that must hold an assortment of skills in digital and print design and be creative in message conceptualization and implementation. This group will work with the rest of the executive team in the creative realization of all projects. Responsibilities of the position include: supervising and managing the workflow schedule of the team for ensure timely delivery of projects; working with account executives to flesh out creative ideas, communicating possibilities and working as a liaison among all team members; supervise and execute the redesign of the organization’s website.

Digital/Social Media/Brand Editor

This position works directly with the chapter president to coordinate, post and update all of the chapter’s outlets. This includes the website and its Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. It will involve some measure of content creation, and thus will coordinate with the publications position particularly in the area of blog posts. Membership in PRSSA is highly preferred.

Publications/Brand Manager

This position works directly with the chapter president and has primary responsibility of the monthly newsletter and blog posts. This includes story ideation, assignment, editing, and production of the publication. It will also involve close coordination with the digital/social media editor to ensure that the overall message of the chapter is consistent and is represented professionally. Membership in PRSSA is highly preferred.

Recruiting and Event Planning Secretary

This position works directly with the president in the strategic coordination of chapter membership drives, fundraising efforts, chapter registration and contest entries with university and national organizational entities, professional development programming such as speaker series and luncheons with PRSA sponsoring chapter, and organizational social activities.
